Whitewater Canal Trail - A 2.6 mile rustic hiking & biking trail along the historic Whitewater Canal, carrying locals and tourists out into the lush scenery of the Whitewater River Valley. The surface is crushed limestone, packed dirt and grass for walking and off-road biking. To access the Metamora Trailhead, enter Metamora from US 52, cross the canal and turn left (east) to the Aqueduct parking area. Brookville Lake - Fairfield Trail - MODERATE –1.5 miles. Extends from the southwest end of Fairfield Causeway to the Mounds Beach road traveling by the lakeshore up through an old pine plantation and crop fields. Glidewell Trail – MODERATE- This trail has a long and short loop that takes you past a 2000 year old Indian mound. The long loop is 4.5 miles and the short loop is 2 miles. Templeton Creek Trail – MODERATE – 2 miles. Parallels the Mounds Beach road then crosses Templeton Creek and up to the Wildlife Wander Trail. Wildlife Wander Trail – EASY – .7 mile.This self-guided trail is a short loop through amateur woods. Brochures available by trail sign. Garr Hill Trail – MODERATE – 1.8 miles. This trail goes through crop fields and woods to the Garr Hill Boat Ramp. Scenic Trail – MODERATE – 3.25 miles. This is a paved trail great for bicycle riding and rollerblading. Goes from Garr Hill to Scenic Vista.

Whitewater Valley Railroad Whitewater Valley Railroad - Visit Metamora, Indiana without worrying about parking!! This train departs from our Connersville depot at 12:01 pm on every Saturday and Sunday between May 1 and October 31. This trip offers a 2 hour lay over in Metamora good for shopping, eating, and site seeing. The train departs Metamora for Connersville at 3:30 pm to arrive at the Connersville Depot at 5:00 pm.

The round trip fares for this train are $20 for adult and $10 for kids, one way fares are $15 for adults and $8 for kids. Caboose tickets are available for $22 adult and $12 child.
