Oldenburg Freudenfest

The biggest little German festival in Indiana! Always the third weekend of July.

Freudenfest, meaning “Fun Day”, is hosted by a non-profit organization that originated in 1976 by a group of volunteers who envisioned holding a family fun day. The event has grown to incorporate German food, beer, music, and games.  There’s even a Dachshund race!  Dressing in dirndls and lederhosen is strongly encouraged!
